Homemade Ketchup

Preparing the Ketchup In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato paste, white vinegar, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, salt, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, cayenne pepper, and water. Stir well to combine.

Cooking the Ketchup Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Blending the Ketchup Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth. If the ketchup is too thick, you can add a little water to achieve the desired consistency.

4.Transfer the blended ketchup back to the saucepan and heat it over low heat for an additional 5 minutes to meld the flavors.

5.Once done, allow the ketchup to cool completely before transferring it to a 1.5 cup container for storage.
