Delicious Apple Compote

1.Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.

2.In a saucepan, combine the chopped apples, sugar, and juice of the lemon.

3.Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the mixture has thickened, about 15-20 minutes.

4.Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.

5.Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.

6.Serve warm over ice cream, yogurt, or cake, or enjoy it on its own as a delicious dessert.
