Crispy Soya Sauce Chicken

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2.In a bowl, mix the soya sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.

3.Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

4.Remove the chicken from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.

5.In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs, skin-side down, until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.

6.Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and crispy.

7.In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.

8.In a separate saucepan, bring the remaining marinade to a simmer, then whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

9.Brush the thickened soya sauce glaze over the crispy chicken thighs.

10.Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
