Easter Chutney

1.In a large saucepan, combine the diced apples, chopped dried apricots, raisins, chopped onions, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, cinnamon, ground cloves, allspice, salt, and black pepper.

2.Stir the mixture well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

3.Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

4.Reduce the heat to low and simmer the chutney uncovered for about 45-60 minutes, or until it thickens to a desired consistency, stirring occasionally.

5.Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the chutney cool to room temperature before serving or storing in sterilized jars.

6.Serve the Easter Chutney as a delicious accompaniment to roasted ham, turkey, or as a spread on hot cross buns or crackers.
