Savory Arroz con Res: A Flavorful Beef and Rice Delight

1.Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain and set aside.

2.In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef pieces and season with salt and pepper. Brown the beef on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

3.Remove the beef from the pot and set aside. In the same pot, add the chopped onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 3-4 minutes.

4.Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they start to break down.

6.Return the browned beef to the pot and add the rinsed rice, beef broth, and water. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
