Tarte au Maroilles: Cheese Lover's Dream

1.Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).

2.Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and place it into a tart pan, trimming any excess pastry from the edges.

3.Prick the base of the pastry with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.

4.In a small bowl, beat the egg and mix it with the crème fraîche, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

5.Spread the mixture evenly over the base of the pastry.

6.Slice the Maroilles cheese into thin pieces and arrange them over the crème fraîche mixture.

7.Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the cheese.

8.Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the pastry is golden brown.

9.Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
