Mac and Cheese

1.Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2.In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

3.Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens and comes to a simmer.

4.Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.

5.Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated. Serve hot.
