Whiskey-Glazed Apple and Fish Bread

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2.Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.

3.In a small bowl, mix together the whiskey, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger to make the glaze.

4.Place the fish fillets in a baking dish and brush them with the whiskey glaze, reserving some for later.

5.Bake the fish in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

6.While the fish is baking, prepare the apple salsa. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped apple, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, and salt. Stir well to combine.

7.Toast the bread slices until golden brown.

8.Spread butter on one side of each toasted bread slice.

9.Remove the fish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Flake the fish into small pieces using a fork.

10.Place a generous amount of the flaked fish on one buttered side of each bread slice.

11.Top the fish with a spoonful of the apple salsa. Drizzle some of the reserved whiskey glaze on top.

12.Serve immediately and enjoy!
