Krusty Dogs from SpongeBob

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Add the chilled butter and vegetable shortening. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter and shortening into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

2.Gradually add the ice water, a few tablespoons at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix. The dough should be slightly sticky but not wet.

3.Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin rectangle on a floured surface.

4.Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the hot dog sausages until they are browned and heated through.

5.Place a cooked hot dog sausage on each rolled-out dough portion. Wrap the dough around the sausage, sealing the edges. Repeat with the remaining sausages and dough portions.

6.In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish to make the sauce.

7.Toast the hot dog buns until they are lightly golden.

8.Spread the sauce on the inside of each toasted hot dog bun.

9.Place a wrapped hot dog sausage inside each bun.

10.Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced onions.

11.Serve the Krusty Dogs immediately and enjoy!
