Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.

2.In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

3.In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

4.Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6.Fold in the chocolate chips.

7.Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

8.Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

9.Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
