Caramelized Onions

1.Peel and thinly slice the onions.

2.In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until the butter is melted and the oil is hot.

3.Add the sliced onions to the skillet and stir to coat them with the butter and oil.

4.Cook the onions over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and golden brown, about 30-40 minutes.

5.Remove the caramelized onions from the skillet and use them as a delicious topping for burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, or as a flavorful addition to soups and stews.
