Ciabatta Caprese Sandwiches with Balsamic Glaze

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.Slice the ciabatta bread buns in half horizontally and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up.

3.Drizzle the cut sides of the ciabatta buns with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

4.Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the ciabatta buns for about 5 minutes, or until they are lightly golden and crisp.

5.Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool slightly.

6.On the bottom half of each ciabatta bun, layer slices of fresh mozzarella cheese, followed by slices of tomato.

7.Season the tomato slices with a little salt and black pepper to taste.

8.Add fresh basil leaves on top of the tomatoes.

9.Drizzle a generous amount of balsamic glaze over the basil leaves.

10.Place the top half of the ciabatta buns over the layered ingredients to form sandwiches.

11.Serve the ciabatta caprese sandwiches immediately, or wrap them in parchment paper for a picnic or lunch on the go.
