Foil-Baked Fluffy Garlic Butter Bread

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.

2.In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.

3.Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing with a wooden spoon or dough hook attachment until a soft dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

6.While the dough is rising, prepare the garlic butter by mixing the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.

7.Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air and transfer it to a lightly floured surface.

8.Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.

9.Spread the prepared garlic butter evenly over the surface of the dough.

10.Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.

11.Cut the log into 8-10 equal pieces and arrange them in a greased or parchment-lined baking dish.

12.Cover the dish with foil, ensuring it is sealed well to trap the steam, and let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.

13.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

14.Brush the tops of the risen dough pieces with milk to help them brown nicely.

15.Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the bread is cooked through.

16.Remove the foil for the last 5 minutes of baking to allow the tops to crisp up slightly.
