Spicy Chili Cheese Meatballs

Making the Meatballs In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, milk, chopped red hot chili, grated cheese, onion, cilantro, garlic powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Stuffing the Meatballs Take about a tablespoon of the meat mixture and roll it into a ball. Press your thumb into the center of the ball to create a small indentation. Place a cube of cheese in the indentation and wrap the meat mixture around it, sealing it completely. Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cheese cubes.

Preparing the Sauce In a saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through.

Cooking the Meatballs Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.

Coating the Meatballs Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked meatballs in the skillet. Gently stir to coat the meatballs with the sauce. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and the meatballs are fully coated.

Serving the Meatballs Serve the spicy chili cheese meatballs hot as an appetizer or party food. Garnish with chopped cilantro and additional chopped red hot chili, if desired.
