Cheesy Soda

Prepare the Dough In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the Butter Add the cold and cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the Cheese Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.

Add Water and Mix Slowly add the cold water, mixing until the dough comes together. If the dough is too dry, add more water, a tablespoon at a time.

Shape the Dough Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

Cook the Dough Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Flatten each dough ball into a circle and cook on the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Make the Cheese Filling In a bowl, combine the grated mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and chopped fresh parsley.

Fill with Cheese Cut a small slit in each cooked dough and fill with a spoonful of the cheese filling.

Heat the Soda In a small saucepan, heat the soda over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

Add Soda Topping Top each filled dough with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese and spoon some warm soda over the top.
