Alien's Head Stir-Fry with Soy Sauce

1In a small bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients: soy sauce (1 tablespoon), rice vinegar (1 tablespoon), sesame oil (1 teaspoon), cornstarch (1 teaspoon), sugar (½ teaspoon), and black pepper (¼ teaspoon). Stir well until the cornstarch (1 teaspoon) is dissolved.

2Cut the Alien's Head (1) into bite-sized florets. If you can't find a real Alien's Head (1), you can substitute with cauliflower florets.

3Place the Alien's Head (1) florets into a large bowl. Pour the marinade over the florets and toss to coat evenly. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

4Heat a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Add the vegetable oil (2 tablespoons) and minced garlic (3 cloves). Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5Add the marinated Alien's Head (1) florets to the wok, reserving the marinade. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.

6Add the sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli florets (1 cup), and snap peas (½ cup) to the wok. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.

7In a small bowl, whisk together the reserved marinade, soy sauce (1 tablespoon), oyster sauce (1 tablespoon), sesame oil (1 teaspoon), grated ginger (1 teaspoon), and red pepper flakes (¼ teaspoon) (if using).

8Pour the sauce over the stir-fry and toss to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.

9Season with salt to taste. Remove from heat.

10Serve the Alien's Head (1) Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions (2).
