Creme Brulee Muddy Buddies

Prepare the Cereal In a large mixing bowl, measure out 6 cups of Rice Chex cereal (6 cups). Set aside.

Melt the White Chocolate (1 cup) In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips (1 cup) at 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted and smooth.

Coat the Cereal with White Chocolate (1 cup) Pour the melted white chocolate (1 cup) over the Rice Chex cereal (6 cups). Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently toss the cereal until it is evenly coated.

Prepare the Coating Mixture In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar (½ cup), granulated sugar (¼ cup), vanilla extract (1 tablespoon), ground cinnamon (½ teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon). Mix well.

Coat the Cereal with the Coating Mixture Sprinkle the coating mixture over the white chocolate (1 cup)-coated cereal. Toss gently to ensure all pieces are coated.

Let the Coating Set Spread the coated cereal in an even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow it to cool and set for about 30 minutes.

Prepare the Brulee Topping Once the coating has set, sprinkle 1/4 cup of granulated sugar (¼ cup) evenly over the cereal.

Brulee the Cereal Using a kitchen torch, carefully brulee the sugar on the cereal until it caramelizes and forms a crispy, golden crust. If you don't have a kitchen torch, you can use the broiler in your oven. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.

Let the Brulee Topping Set Allow the brulee topping to cool and harden for a few minutes.
