Creme Brulee Muddy Buddies

Prepare the Cereal In a large mixing bowl, measure out 6 cups of Rice Chex cereal (6 cups). Set aside.

Melt the White Chocolate In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips (1 cup) at 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted and smooth.

Coat the Cereal with White Chocolate Pour the melted white chocolate over the Rice Chex cereal (6 cups). Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently toss the cereal until it is evenly coated.

Prepare the Coating Mixture In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar (½ cup), granulated sugar (¼ cup), vanilla extract (1 tablespoon), ground cinnamon (½ teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon). Mix well.

Coat the Cereal with the Coating Mixture Sprinkle the coating mixture over the white chocolate-coated cereal. Toss gently to ensure all pieces are coated.

Let the Coating Set Spread the coated cereal in an even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow it to cool and set for about 30 minutes.

Prepare the Brulee Topping Once the coating has set, sprinkle 1/4 cup of granulated sugar (¼ cup) evenly over the cereal.

Brulee the Cereal Using a kitchen torch, carefully brulee the sugar on the cereal until it caramelizes and forms a crispy, golden crust. If you don't have a kitchen torch, you can use the broiler in your oven. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.

Let the Brulee Topping Set Allow the brulee topping to cool and harden for a few minutes.

Garnish the Cereal Sprinkle 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (½ cup) over the brulee-coated cereal as a final garnish.

Store and Serve Transfer the Creme Brulee Muddy Buddies to an airtight container or individual snack bags.
