Biscotti Muddy Buddies

Preparation Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Biscotti Mix In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour (1 cup), granulated sugar (½ cup), cocoa powder, baking powder (½ teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon) for the biscotti mix. Mix well.

3Add the melted butter, milk (¼ cup), and vanilla extract (1 teaspoon) to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

4Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. Shape the dough into a log, about 10 inches long and 4 inches wide. Flatten the log slightly.

5Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the log is firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Slicing the Biscotti Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the log into 1-inch thick slices. Place the slices back on the baking sheet, cut side down.

7Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and bake the sliced biscotti for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until they are crispy and dry. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Coating In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup) and peanut butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth and well combined.

9Place the powdered sugar (2 cups) in a large resealable plastic bag. Add the baked and cooled biscotti slices to the bag and seal. Shake the bag until the biscotti slices are well coated with powdered sugar (2 cups).

Optional Add-ins If desired, add the chopped almonds (½ cup) and dried cranberries (½ cup) to the bag with the coated biscotti slices. Seal the bag and shake gently to combine.

Serve and Enjoy! Remove the biscotti slices from the bag and transfer them to a serving plate or container. Enjoy!
