Moist Vanilla Pound Cake

1Preparation Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

2Making the Pound Cake Batter 1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. 2. Add the eggs (4 large) one at a time, mixing well after each addition. 3. Stir in the vanilla extract (2 teaspoons). 4. Combine the flour and salt (½ teaspoon) in a separate bowl. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. 6. Fold in the sour cream until the batter is smooth and well combined.

3Baking the Pound Cake 1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. 2. Smooth the top with a spatula. 3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 4. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
