Cheesy Beef and Vegetable Casserole

1Cooking Ground Beef (1 lb) In a skillet, cook the ground beef (1 lb) over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt (1 teaspoon), pepper, paprika (1 teaspoon), and garlic powder (1 teaspoon).

2Sauteing Vegetables In the same skillet, saute the onion (1) and garlic (2 cloves) in olive oil (2 tablespoons) until softened. Add the mixed vegetables (2 cups) and cook until tender.

3Making Cheese Sauce In a saucepan, melt butter (2 tablespoons) over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk (1 cup) until smooth. Add cheddar cheese, salt (1 teaspoon), and pepper, stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is thickened.

4Assembling the Casserole Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, layer the seasoned ground beef (1 lb), sauteed vegetables, and cheese sauce. Repeat the layers. Top with breadcrumbs (1 cup) mixed with melted butter (2 tablespoons).
