Delightful Sushi Rolls

Preparing the Sushi Rice (2 cups) Prepare the sushi rice (2 cups) by washing it under cold water (2½ cups) until the water (2½ cups) runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions. In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar (⅓ cup), sugar (3 tablespoons), and salt (1 teaspoon). Heat until the sugar (3 tablespoons) dissolves. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture. Let the rice cool to room temperature.

Assembling the Sushi Rolls Lay a sheet of nori on the bamboo sushi mat. Wet your hands to prevent sticking and spread a thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top. Add your choice of fillings - tuna, salmon, cucumber (1 small), avocado (1), and sesame seeds (2 tablespoons) - down the center of the rice.

Rolling the Sushi Rolls Carefully roll the sushi using the bamboo mat, applying gentle pressure to shape it. Wet the uncovered edge of the nori with water (2½ cups) to seal the roll. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
