Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter Vegan Cookies

1Preparation Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2Mixing the Ingredients In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder (½ cup), baking soda (1 teaspoon), and salt (½ teaspoon).

3In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: dark chocolate sunflower seed butter (1 cup), maple syrup (¾ cup), melted coconut oil, (¼ cup) and vanilla extract (1 teaspoon) until well combined.

4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.

5Forming the Cookies Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out portions of the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

6Gently flatten each cookie with the back of a spoon.

7Baking Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.

8Cooling Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
