Delicious and Beautiful Pudding

1Combine sugar (½ cup), cornstarch (¼ cup), and salt (¼ teaspoon) in a saucepan. Slowly whisk in milk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

2In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks (2 large). Gradually whisk in a cup of the hot milk mixture. Return the egg mixture to the saucepan. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract (1 teaspoon).

3Pour the pudding into serving dishes. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

4Before serving, drizzle caramel sauce over the pudding and sprinkle with toasted almonds. Enjoy the delicious and beautiful pudding!
