Sweet Delight

Cream together sugar (1 cup) and softened butter (½ cup) in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add eggs (2) one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract (1 teaspoon).

In a separate bowl, combine flour (1 cup), baking powder (1 teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk (½ cup), until well combined.

If desired, fold in chocolate chips (½ cup) for an extra decadent touch.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a baking pan.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the sweet delight to cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy this delightful sweet treat!
