Extreme Dark Black Brownies

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2.In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder (1 teaspoon), and salt (½ teaspoon). Set aside.

3.In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add sugar (2 cups), dark cocoa powder (1¼ cups), and black cocoa powder (¼ cup). Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Remove from heat.

4.Beat in eggs (4 large) one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in vanilla extract (2 teaspoons).

5.Gradually add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined.

6.Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

7.Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Do not overbake; brownies will continue to set as they cool.

8.Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
