Decadent Sweet Crescent Rolls

1.Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Gently warm the milk to lukewarm and add it to the dry ingredients along with the melted butter and eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms.

2.Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until it's smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, covering it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

3.Prepare the sweet filling by mixing the brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter in a bowl until well combined.

4.Once the dough has doubled, punch it down and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a large rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.

5.Spread the sweet filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small margin at the edges.

6.Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal slices.

7.Place the slices in a greased baking dish, cut side up. Cover them with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise again until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes.

8.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the sweet rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

9.While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

10.Remove the rolls from the oven and while still warm, drizzle them with the glaze. Serve warm or at room temperature.
