Decadent Chocolate Cake

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2.In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3.Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.

4.Stir in the boiling water to the batter. The batter will be thin but that's okay.

5.Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

6.Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7.Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

8.Once the cakes are completely cooled, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting or ganache.
