Butter Nans

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

2.Add the plain yogurt and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Stir well to combine.

3.Mix in the minced garlic, dried oregano, dried parsley, and salt to the bowl.

4.Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture, stirring well after each addition, until a soft dough forms.

5.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

6.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.

7.Punch down the dough to release air, then divide it into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into an oval-shaped naan.

8.Place the naans onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes, or until puffed and lightly golden brown.

9.Remove the naans from the oven and brush each with melted butter while still hot.

10.Serve the Butter Nans warm and enjoy with your favorite curry or as a delicious side dish.
