Apple Custard Delight

4.Slowly pour the custard mixture into the simmering milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, and cook until the custard thickens.

5.Remove the custard from heat and let it cool slightly.

6.Arrange the apple slices in serving bowls or glasses.

7.Pour the warm custard over the apples, covering them completely.

8.Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving for a refreshing taste.

9.Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired before serving.
