New Year's Baked Fish

1Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2Prepare the fish by cleaning and scaling it. Make diagonal cuts on both sides of the fish to allow the flavors to penetrate.

3Slice the lemon (1) and garlic (2 cloves) cloves.

4Mix the olive oil (1 tablespoon), paprika (1 teaspoon), dried thyme (1 teaspoon), dried rosemary (1 teaspoon), and black pepper (1 teaspoon) in a small bowl to create a spice mixture.

5Rub the spice mixture all over the fish, including inside the cuts.

6Place the lemon (1) slices and garlic (2 cloves) cloves inside the cavity of the fish for added flavor.

7Sprinkle fresh parsley (1 tablespoon) over the fish for garnish and added freshness.

8Drizzle a little more olive oil (1 tablespoon) on top of the fish for moisture.

9Place the fish on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

10Bake the fish in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
