Rum-Infused Chocolate Truffles

1.Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl.

2.In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it simmers but does not boil.

3.Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes to soften the chocolate.

4.Stir the chocolate and cream mixture until smooth and well combined.

5.Add the rum to the chocolate mixture and stir until fully incorporated.

6.Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until firm.

7.Scoop out teaspoon-sized portions of the chocolate mixture and roll them into balls to form truffles.

8.Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or chocolate sprinkles for coating.

9.Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes to set.
