Festive Cranberry and Apple Chutney

1In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, diced apples (2), chopped red onion, (1 cup) brown sugar (1 cup), raisins (½ cup), and apple cider vinegar (½ cup).

2Stir in the ground cinnamon (1 tsp), ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper (¼ tsp).

3Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

4Reduce the heat to low and let the chutney cook for about 30-35 minutes until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.

5Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more sugar for sweetness or vinegar for tartness.

6Remove from heat and let the chutney cool to room temperature before transferring it to sterilized jars for storage.

7Seal the jars tightly and store them in the refrigerator. The flavors will develop over time, making it even more delicious!
