Christmas Kulkuls

1In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour (2 cups), sugar (1 cup), coconut milk (1 cup), and cardamom powder (½ tsp). Mix well until a smooth dough forms.

2Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a thin tube on a fork or a kulkul maker (special tool for shaping).

3Repeat the process for the remaining dough, shaping them into small curls or spiral shapes.

4Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

5Carefully place the shaped kulkuls into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking.

6Once done, remove the fried kulkuls using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on a paper towel.

7Allow the kulkuls to cool before serving. They can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
