Papaduex Bread Pudding

1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.

2In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed Papaduex bread (6 cups), raisins (¼ cup), and chopped walnuts (¼ cup).

3In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk (2 cups), heavy cream (1 cup), sugar (1 cup), eggs (4), vanilla extract (1 teaspoon), cinnamon (½ teaspoon), and nutmeg (¼ teaspoon) until well combined.

4Pour the milk (2 cups) mixture over the bread mixture and gently stir to ensure all the bread is coated. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.

5Transfer the bread pudding mixture to the greased baking dish.

6Drizzle the melted butter (¼ cup) over the top of the bread pudding.

7Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.

8Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

9Serve the Papaduex Bread Pudding warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
