Christmas Kuruma

1.Heat ghee and vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.

2.Add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom pods. Saute until fragrant.

3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

4.Stir in ginger paste and garlic paste, cook for a minute until fragrant.

5.Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.

6.Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.

7.Pour in the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the masala.

8.Add coconut milk, yogurt, ground cashew nuts, and raisins. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

9.Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the flavors are well blended.

10.Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.

11.Serve the Christmas Kuruma hot with rice or bread of your choice.
