Crispy Rice Flatter Delight

1Cook the rice (2 cups) according to package instructions and let it cool completely.

2In a bowl, mix the cooked rice (2 cups), all-purpose flour (1 cup), cornstarch (½ cup), baking powder (1 teaspoon), garlic powder (1 teaspoon), onion powder (1 teaspoon), paprika (½ teaspoon), salt (½ teaspoon), and black pepper (¼ teaspoon).

3Add the egg (1) and water (1 cup) to the mixture and stir until well combined to form a thick batter.

4Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (180°C).

5Drop spoonfuls of the rice (2 cups) batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

6Remove the crispy rice (2 cups) flatteners from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

7Serve the crispy rice (2 cups) flatteners hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as a snack or side dish.
