Spicy Garlic Mushroom Pasta

1Peel and mince the garlic cloves.

2Chop the onion (1) and tomatoes (2).

3Slice the red chillies (2).

4Clean and slice the mushrooms (1 cup).

5Heat a pan over medium heat and add some oil.

6Add the minced garlic and chopped onion (1) to the pan. Sauté until fragrant and translucent.

7Stir in the chopped tomatoes (2) and cook until they soften and release their juices.

8Add the tomato sauce (1 cup) and sliced red chillies (2). Simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.

9In a separate pot, cook the pasta (8 oz) according to package instructions until al dente.

10Add the sliced mushrooms (1 cup) to the sauce and cook until they are tender and cooked through.

11Drain the cooked pasta (8 oz) and add it to the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta (8 oz) evenly with the sauce and mushrooms (1 cup).

12Serve the spicy garlic mushroom pasta (8 oz) hot and garnish with fresh herbs or grated cheese if desired.
