Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

1In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream (2 cups), whole milk (1 cup), and granulated sugar (¾ cup). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

2Add the vanilla extract (1 tablespoon) to the mixture and stir well to combine.

3Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

4Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
