Homemade Burger Bun Recipe

1In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk (1 cup), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

2Add melted butter, eggs (2), and salt (1 teaspoon) to the yeast mixture and mix well.

3Gradually add flour to the wet ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms, about 8-10 minutes.

4Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

5Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

6Cover the dough balls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

7Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

8Brush the risen dough balls with an egg wash (1 egg beaten with a splash of water).

9Bake the burger buns in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
