Creamy Chicken and Potato Casserole

1Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk (2 cups) and egg (1) until well combined.

3Slice the chicken breast (1 lb) into bite-sized pieces and dice the onion (1).

4Peel and slice the potatoes (2) into thin rounds.

5Slice the tomatoes (2) into thin slices.

6In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes (2) at the bottom.

7Top the potatoes (2) with half of the diced onion (1) and half of the sliced chicken.

8Place half of the tomato slices on top of the chicken.

9Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes (2), onion (1), chicken, and tomatoes (2).

10Pour the milk (2 cups) and egg (1) mixture over the layers in the baking dish.

11Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

12Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
