Classic Sugar Cookies

1Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and sugar.

3Gradually add water (¼ cup) to the flour-sugar mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms.

4Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.

5Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

6Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

7Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
