Decadent Chocolate Lava Cake

1Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease four ramekins with butter.

2In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate (4 oz) together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

3In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs (2 large), egg yolks (2 large), and granulated sugar (¼ cup) until well combined.

4Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.

5Add the flour and vanilla extract (½ tsp) to the chocolate mixture and mix until smooth.

6Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.

7Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes.

8The edges should be set but the center should still be soft.

9Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool for 1 minute.

10Run a knife around the edges of the ramekins and invert the cakes onto serving plates.

11Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
