Homemade Rainbow Sprinkles

1In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar (1 cup), corn syrup (1 tablespoon), and water (1 tablespoon). Mix until a smooth paste forms.

2Divide the paste into separate bowls for each color you want to make. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix well until the desired color is achieved.

3Add a small amount of vanilla extract (¼ teaspoon) to each colored paste and mix thoroughly for flavor.

4Transfer each colored paste into separate piping bags with small round tips attached.

5On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pipe thin lines of each colored paste side by side.

6Allow the lines to dry completely, preferably overnight, until they harden.

7Once dry, use a knife to carefully scrape the hardened lines to create rainbow sprinkle shapes.

8Store the homemade rainbow sprinkles in an airtight container for future use.
