Creamy Chicken Shrimp Penne with Carrots

1Cook penne pasta (8 oz) according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2In a large skillet, heat olive oil (¼ cup) over medium heat. Add chicken slices and cook until browned on all sides, then remove from the skillet and set aside.

3In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside with the chicken.

4Add more olive oil (¼ cup) to the skillet if needed, then sauté garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.

5Add sliced carrots and cook until slightly tender, about 5 minutes.

6Pour in chicken broth (½ cup) and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 5 minutes until the carrots are fully cooked.

7Stir in heavy cream (1 cup) and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.

8Add the cooked chicken, shrimp, and penne pasta (8 oz) to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.
