Blueberry Cake

1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar (1 cup) until light and fluffy.

3Add the eggs (2) one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Stir in the vanilla extract (1 tsp).

5In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder (1 tsp), baking soda (½ tsp), and salt (½ tsp).

6Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk (1 cup).

7Gently fold in the fresh blueberries (1½ cups).

8Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

9Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

10Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

11Serve the blueberry cake slices and enjoy!
