Cheesy Garlic Potato Bake

1Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2Grease a large baking dish with butter (2 tablespoons) to prevent sticking.

3In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes (4 large), sliced onion (1 large), and minced garlic (4 cloves). Toss them together to mix well.

4In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk (1 cup), dried thyme (1 teaspoon), paprika (1 teaspoon), salt, and pepper until well combined.

5Layer half of the potato mixture in the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.

6Pour half of the milk (1 cup) mixture over the first layer of potatoes (4 large).

7Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top of the first layer.

8Repeat the layers with the remaining potato mixture, milk (1 cup) mixture, and cheese, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

9Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

10After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes (4 large) are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

11Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
