Decadent Chocolate Oreo Delight

1In a medium saucepan, heat the milk (1 cup) over medium heat until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil.

2Add the cocoa powder (½ cup) and sugar (¼ cup) to the steaming milk (1 cup), whisking continuously until fully dissolved and smooth.

3Stir in the chopped dark chocolate (½ cup) and continue to whisk until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is well combined.

4Remove the saucepan from heat and add the vanilla extract (1 teaspoon), mixing well.

5In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies (1 cup) with the chocolate syrup (¼ cup), mixing until the cookies are well coated.

6In serving glasses, layer the chocolate mixture and the Oreo mixture, starting with the chocolate mixture at the bottom.

7Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, finishing with a layer of the chocolate mixture on top.

8Top each glass with a dollop of whipped cream (¼ cup) and sprinkle with Oreo cookie crumbs for garnish.
