Banana Bread Delight

1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

2In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar (½ cup), and brown sugar (½ cup) until light and fluffy.

3Add the mashed bananas to the butter mixture and mix well until combined.

4Beat in the eggs (2 large) one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract (1 teaspoon).

5In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda (1 teaspoon), salt (½ teaspoon), and ground cinnamon (½ teaspoon).

6Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

7If using, fold in the chopped walnuts (½ cup) gently into the batter.

8Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

9Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

10Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
