Fluffy Egg Bread with a Golden Crust

1In a small bowl, combine the warm milk (½ cup) and sugar (¼ cup). Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

2In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs (4 large), melted butter, and vanilla extract (1 teaspoon) until well combined.

3Add the frothy yeast mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.

4Gradually add the flour and salt (1 teaspoon) to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

5Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

6Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

7Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.

8Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until it has risen above the rim of the pan.

9Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

10Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

11Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
