Savory Egg and Butter Toast

1Begin by heating a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

2Add 1 tablespoon of butter (2 tablespoons) to the skillet and let it melt, coating the bottom evenly.

3Crack the eggs (2 large) into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolks. Sprinkle salt (½ teaspoon), pepper, and garlic powder (¼ teaspoon) over the eggs (2 large).

4Cook the eggs (2 large) for about 3-4 minutes, or until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. If you prefer your yolks cooked through, cover the skillet with a lid for an additional minute.

5While the eggs (2 large) are cooking, toast the slices of bread (4) in a toaster or on another skillet until golden brown.

6Once the bread is toasted, spread the remaining tablespoon of butter (2 tablespoons) evenly on each slice.

7Carefully place one egg on top of each slice of buttered toast, ensuring the yolk remains intact.

8Serve immediately, garnished with additional salt (½ teaspoon) and pepper if desired.
